4 months old

It's hard to believe this little guy is now four months old. He now weighs 14 lbs 17oz and is 25in long. Being his mom is the best thing in the world. Every day he grows a little more and does something new, but there are also things that he continues to do every day.

He hated doing tummy time for quite a while and now he's starting to really like it. Just last month we would be lucky to get 5 minutes of tummy time out of this guy, but now he'll play happily on his tummy for 20-30 minutes.

He'll roll from his back to his front, and from his front to his back but never in one specific direction. Instead he'll just spin towards the object he wants.
Here he was trying to get to his keys and finally pooped out. Only seconds after this picture he made mommy very aware of how much he was done with tummy time.

Another solid favorite to this day it the floor gym. He loves to take the rings and pull the entire arch towards himself. We also spend a good part of the day listening to the disney station on pandora. He loves it when mommy sings along with the song to him.

A new favorite activity is the Johnny Jump Up. This is the same one that I and my siblings used when we were babies. My father refers to it as the best babysitter ever. Sean refers to it as "The Impailer" because he hangs from a giant metal spring that is attached to the ceiling by a hook.

Another fantastic use that I have found for the Johnny Jump Up. Is taking a toy of his and attaching it to a string and tying that to the bar on the Jump Up. we'll swing the toy back and forth or spin it. He loves it when we attach his keys because he can grab them and pull them down.
He has lots of toys but many of them are Pooh. The big stuffed Pooh bear that was once my mothers is his favorite. This is a picture of the first time he saw his big Pooh bear.
Also I have to point out this onsize that my sister-in-law made for me. It's one of my very favorites.

And also to this day he still loves to be swaddled when he goes to bed.

He is looking so grown up! What a handsome little fella! I wish they still made those Johnny Jump things, nothing they make today compares. Hope he's sleeping through the night more, and that you are squeezing in some rest here and there. :)

He's darling. Isn't it crazy how fast they grow and change? Is he letting you sleep these days a(uh, nights)? And I have to say that Pooh Bear is in remarkable condition for being around for so long. Sadly, my baby doesn't get much floor time. She's too accessible to her sibling fan club. Firsties have all the fun. :)

You guys address so sweet! He has been sleeping through the night for months that is until this last week. But every one said when they hit four months they start waking up in the middle of the night if they have been sleeping well before that. So it wasn't unexpected. I just have to figure out how to get him sleeping through the night again.
Brittany I have to admit I got lucky with that Johnny jump up. Annicka had it first but Macie didn't like it and Matt hated that Annicka was doing something so dangerous to their baby that she relinquished it to me. And I couldn't be happier, James loves it.I tried looking for one on line but none of them have the spring any more.
