October

I love love love fall! Apparently I love it so much that I forget to take pictures, so there aren't very many pictures for the month of October. I took James on lots of walks and luckily October wasn't too cold for it. James loves the out doors so much that one day I couldn't get him to settle down unless he could see outside. So I moved some furniture around so that his pack n' play could sit right in front of our front room window.
Unfortunately this is usually Poodee's spot so they got to hang out together. James was in love with watching the falling leaves. Unfortunately this was only enough entertainment for a week because that's exactly how long it takes for our tree to shed all of its leaves.

There were so many leaves that we filled our yard clippings can, the regular garbage can, and still had a pile left over.
Of course those leaves did not stay in a pile but I didn't need to worry about raking them up again because a couple days later I looked outside and our neighbors kids were raking the leaves up again and putting them into a bucket then proceeding to take that bucket into their own yard and dumping them in their front yard and playing in them. I'll keep that in mind for next year.

James is growing more and more every day he is now 7 and 1/2 months old and he's already into his 9 months clothes. He is grudgingly eating solids. He hates oatmeal and veggies, but he will open his mouth for fruit, and loves goldfish. He is also starting to do the pre-crawl wiggle where he gets on all fours and wobbles a bit.
I was trying to get a picture of it here. He does better on the tile than the carpet.
Also this was his first Halloween and as he is too small to argue with me on what he will dress up as, I got to choose his costume. Originally he was going to be "Shark Bait" (basically it looked like a shark was eating him from the waist down) but when I put the prototype costume on him he wouldn't have it. He freaked out that he couldn't see his legs and had a hard time sitting up. So I went out and bought him a costume, of which he still had no say in.
So he was my little tiger. This was taken at the neighborhood Halloween party.
It was a fun little party that had lots of activities at it. There was face painting, musical monsters (instead of chairs), ring toss, no bobbing for apples thank heavens. Lots of minute to win it games like this one that Sean was doing where he had to move a cookie to his mouth using his face muscles. He won.
It was a good Halloween, we had fun.
